Active Fx Laser Resurfacing

Skin resurfacing with Carbon Di Oxide Lasers has been around for more than a decade. The latest offering from lumenis the Ultrapulse Encore has taken the art of Laser Skin Resurfacing (LSR) to an entirely new level.

The Active Fx treatment has used the Coolscan scanner to apply fractional resurfacing to CO2 Lasers. This selective skin ablation in microspot sizes allows rapid healing from intact skin islands. It reduces scarring, mskes the skin tighter, helps with fine wrinkles and gives the skin a fresh clean surubbed look. The improved texture, good tone and added glow are very pleasing.

Problems of hyperpigmentation have reduced significantly, healing is within 4 to 5 days as compared to two weks of standard LSR. The ablation levels and intensity can be finetuned to have excellent control over the procedure.

Another modality called as DeepFx adds a fine microscanner with spot size of 0.12 microns.It has the ability to penetrate deep and produce excellent skin tightening and improvement in texture.
