| We at Pandit Clinic firmly believe in providing relief to distressed people. We also realise that the task at hand is formidable. Dr Shrirang and Dr Jayashree have been very keenly involved in providing relief to thousands of patients. They have used their skills and enormous efforts to help patients with cataract induced blindness. with the Rotary club of Germantown Memphis USA and the Surya Hospital Pune Dr Jayashree has performed 2000 free cataract operations to help the blind see again. She has been on the forefront of providing assistance to needy patients through Smt Vijayabai Hastimal Changede Public Charitable Trust. Dr Shrirang Pandit has been a regular member of a team of Plastic surgeons who have been visiting Dharmasala for the last twenty four years to perform totally free plastic surgery for thousands of patients. This dedicated team of surgeons lead by Dr K S Goleria has performed a miracle in this beautiful town in the hills of Dhauladhar Himalayas. Blessed by the His Holiness the Dalai Lama who lives in Dharamsala. Each year Dr Shrirang Pandit has spent his time, effort in treating underprevilaged and sick people of this area. His contribution to this mammoth effort has been recognized by His Holiness Dalai Lama and The Smile Train which happens to be the largest Cleft Charity in the world. Dr Shrirang Pandit is appointed by the Smile Train as a Lead Surgeon and Project Coordinator for its partnership with Poona Hospital and Research Centre, Pune India. This partnership started in may 2002 and has successfully treated more than 2000 children with facial clefts. Smile Train is based in New York and has been involved in providing high quality care to children with facial clefts. Smile Train has established partnerships with local hospitals to truely disiminate cleft care to remote areas. Plastic Surgery worth crores of rupees has been done totally free for these deserving patients. Dr Shrirang Pandit with his team have made every possible effort to provide very high quality of surgical care for these people. |
